A nonfiction poem by Paula Tatsiana
Just one cut
deep breath
never again she says.
One turned into two
two to three
before she knew it
she had one too many.
Always just one more
never enough
addiction came
from just one cut.

Paula is an eclectic mess of hobbies, however writing poetry is one of her favorites. Growing up, she struggled a lot with self harm and suicidal thoughts. Instead of hurting herself she began to write down every thought in her head. Tackling the challenge of making her words flow smoothly and rearranging them to make sense became the best therapy she had come across. Through her writing she has found healing.
